Summary/Abstract: In the context of the legitimacy of HR function in terms of creating sustainable competitive advantage for organizations; the primary objective of this study is to critically examine the intersection points of the resource-based approach and strategic HRM and the strengths and weaknesses of the resource-based approach in terms of strategic HRM while developing an HR strategy based on human resources. In this context, first of all, the relationship between resource based approach and strategic HRM will be examined theoretically and the process of creating HR strategy using resource based approach will be explained. In the last part, the problems encountered in the implementation of the resource-based approach in the field of strategic HRM and the discussions in the field will be evaluated in the context of the study. In addition, it aims to provide suggestions for future theoretical and empirical studies.
