Bis an die Grenze des Konsenses?

Summary/Abstract: This article aims to analyse the last Common Statement of the Lutheran-Orthodox Joint Theological Commission “The Mystery of the Church: F. Ordained Ministry/Priesthood”, which is adopted in Helsinki in 2017. The initial point of this analysis is the question of whether the limits of consensus between Lutherans and Orthodox have been reached in the document. The analysis has shown that both sides carefully and to the certain extent cautiously formulated their stances on the discussed issues, emphasizing their own confessional positions. However, it does not diminish the significance and theological value of this Common Statement, especially having in mind the complexity of the topic itself.
