The image of China on the basis of the quarterly "China today"

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to show the image of the Catholic Church in China, through a quantitative and qualitative analysis of press studies published in the quarterly “China Today” in the years 2013–2015. The Cultural Revolution and the division of the Catholic Church in the Middle Kingdom are important determinants of the image of an ecclesial institution. The article increases the cognitive value in the area of the following issues presented in the quarterly “China Today”: China’s diplomatic relations with the Holy See, consecrated life in China, the image of Pope Francis.
