Summary/Abstract: A Servant of God Franciszek Blachnicki (1921–1987) is one of the most distinguished figuresin the Polish Church in the 20th century. His personality and work significantly contributed to the preservation of faith among Polish youth in a difficult period, when Poland, belonging to the so called community of socialist states, became the object of planned actions aiming at atheization of a young generation. In this article the author synthetically describes Marian devotion of the Servant of God Franciszek Blachnicki, i.e. he attempts to point out what he taught about the Mother of God and what role he attributed to Her in the life of the Church, of individual Christians and particularly in the life of the works he initiated. The article consists of two parts. First, the author presents a Marian aspect of fr. Franciszek Blachnicki’s life. In the second part he presents his Mariology, which he himself described as a Marian charisma of the Light-Life Movement.
