Summary/Abstract: Nowadays, suicides are a major social problem. A number of people who cannot adapt to the reality around them and deal with their problems choose death, which causes pain and suffering to their loved ones. The phenomenon of suicide, which is the most tragic manifestation of social and personality disintegration, is the subject of interest for psychologists, psychiatrists, educators, sociologists, philosophers, theologians, doctors and criminologists. The following article demonstrates a statistical analysis of suicides based on the data of the National Police Headquarters run in this field between 1999-2019. Against this background, the causes and effects of suicidal behaviour are presented as well as the analysis of high suicidal risk groups, methods, places, reasons and dynamics of suicides, education and marital status of suicides.
