Summary/Abstract: This article discusses the case of the most prestigious publishing house during post-communism and sets itself to offer several explanations regarding the position held by Humanitas in the Romanian editorial space. It also deals with the role of mediators, collaborators of Humanitas publishing house and with its’ editorial production and its’ evolution with a special focus on translations in the field of French Humanities.
