Summary/Abstract: Michał Cichy laments the demise of the Solidarity revolution. In particular he regrets the increasing marginalization of the "moderate revolutionists," the liberal democrats of Solidarity with whom he identifies. What had been a unitary movement that successfully abolished communism has, unfortunately, splintered into irreconcilable factions, pitting intellectual against worker, modernizing liberal against moralizing traditionalist, "moderate" against "fundamentalist."
