Summary/Abstract: The date of December 1, 1918, represented for Romania the moment of the reunification of a nation, of the recovery of some estranged territories that Romanian spirit, language and customs have preserved over time, irrespective of the occupation of other states. The economy of this country celebrating its Centenary has been based and still relies on agriculture. Its study is a retrospective of the agrarian policies applied over time, of how it has developed in the 100 years since the Great Union. The analysis was carried out with the help of seven indicators referring to the area, the production, the employed population in agriculture or the technical endowment over the established periods. Research results highlight political, economic or social processes that have shaped the evolution of indicators.
