Summary/Abstract: Croatian nationalism, that was one of the most powerful nationalist movements in Yugoslavia, recovered in the second half of the 1960s under the name of “Croatian Spring”. The Croatian Spring which began in the field of culture, language and literature at first, soon afterwards put forward radical nationalist political critiques and demands against the Socialist Yugoslavia. In this way, the Croatian Spring turned into the nationalist Croat rebellion against the Socialist Yugoslavia. Although it was suppressed at the beginning of the 1970s, nationalist Croat rebellion under the name of “Croatian Spring” prepared intellectual and political conditions of Croat nationalism that reempowered in the 1980s.
