Summary/Abstract: Outstanding personality, a man with reckless energy, captured by the charm of intelligence and human progress, Prof. Eng. PhD. Pompiliu Manea gave passionately to his fellows a great amount of love and altruism, charity, participating in numerous sponsorships, generosity acts and human solidarity. He was a pleasant person, witty, with a sense of values, a man who had the cult of friendship and spirit of helpfulness . This article makes an incursion into the life and work of this remarkable son of Cluj, who has made an important contribution to the development of Romanian cultural and scientific heritage.
