Summary/Abstract: This chapter presents some of the last thoughts of academiciam Gleb Drăgan, at the age of 90. He lived a full life: he experienced both agony while persecuted for his fam ily background as a Bessarabian, and recognition as a pioneer in Romanian high voltage engineering. His final state of mind reveals a lucid scholar, proud to have gained the freedom of lis tening only to one’s own conscience, which yearns for truth and justice in every aspect of life.
