Summary/Abstract: In our study we reviewed the main online news portals in Hungarian, published in Romania. In the focus of our researches, however, there were two sites, defining the flow of news reaching the „media consumers”, speakers of Hungarian language in Romania, namely Transindex.ro and Maszol.ro. At Transidex.ro we found that it had columns dedicated to science at the beginning, now it only retained the defining part of news about environmental protection (the column called „Think Outside the Box”). TheMaszol.ro portal has columns devoted to science and technology, but they are updated on a random basis, and the theme is mainly taken overfrom the Hungarian press agency, MTI. The impact of this news agency - also on technical and scientific news - is also noticeable at the majornews portals in Hungary (at Index.hu and Origo.hu), which maintain these specific columns. We can see taht those two analyzed portalscite many scientific news that also appear on Index.hu or Origo.hu. Our conclusion is that these two news sites quote inconsistently from the general science and technology themes, but Transindex.ro is very consistent in the „TOTB” column, with a specific theme of environmentalprotection. On our last analyzed site, the Főtér.ro the scientific theme is subordinated to the general style of the site: the irony.
