Summary/Abstract: Objectives: – Illustration of a former member of CRIFS and CRIFST, Dr. Chem. Constanța Rizescu and her contributions to the research and development of autochthonous medicinal plants; – Contributions to the development of drug nomenclature through applicative research for health benefit and for population. Materials: Inventor Certificates granted by the State Office for Inventions and Trademarks (OSIM), Romania, between 1968– 1980; Therapeutic Index 1976; FPA and CV – Constanta Rizescu. Results: Groups of Romanian researchers, specialists (phar macists, chemists, physicians), employees with labor contracts in drug factories and chemico-pharmaceutical research insti tutes had obtained more than 40 patents and had filed as many Inventor Certificates Claims (Files), registered at OSIM, Romania, between 1968–1980. A brief analysis of the Certificates’ titles reflects the orientation of these researchers towards the obtaining of medicinal herbs and medicinal forms, necessary for medical and pharmaceutical assistance in our country.
