Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with the presence of the Greek alphabet, language and literature in the Macedonian cultural sphere in the 19th century. Greek influence is present in almost all areas of culture, art and education, as well as in various linguistic, educational and literary aspects, in the foreground being the revival activities of Dimitrija Miladinov, Jordan Hadzi Konstantinov Dzinot, Grigor Prlichev, publications such as The Wonders of the Holy Virgin by Yoakim Krchovski, Konikovo Gospel edited by Pavel Bozhigropski, various translations, texts in Greek alphabet of folk Macedonian dialects, etc. Regardless of the occasions and reasons why works were written, either for artistic reasons, scientific nature or for emphasizing Slavism and preserving the nationality, we have identified instances of intertwining and influence of Greek culture in the topics and contents of the Macedonian cultural sphere in the 19th century.
