Summary/Abstract: The paper is an attempt to define a genre, and interpretation of a delayed translation (2013) of a book by a German author Michael Ende Never Ending Story (1979). The analysis of single textual fields (structure) aims to prove its high aesthetic standard and timeless validity. Rich original plot, characters, and symbolic setting, supported by the text´s form, as well as its complex composition and polysemantic dimension have been achieved via (wanted or not wanted) postmodern orientation. Its aesthetic dominant lies in its intratextual game.
