TOURIST POTENTIAL OF THE ODESSA REGION AS A FACTOR OF CROSS-BORDER COOPERATION IN THE EUROREGION «LOWER DANUBE»

Summary/Abstract: The article considers the current problems of development of tourism and recreation potential in the Euroregion "Lower Danube" in the Odessa region. The current problems of development of international relations in the field of tourism and hospitality due to the intensification of the tourist flow to the region are analyzed. Forecast indicators of development of the sphere of recreation and tourism in the Odessa region for subjects of tourist activity are calculated. Based on the analysis, the regional authorities are invited to create conditions for the reorientation of the tourist flow of the Odessa region in the direction of inbound and domestic tourism; to promote the restoration of recreational and health tourism; provide support to entrepreneurs in organizing business events to increase the capacity of business tourism, as well as the development of agricultural and enogastronomic tourism routes in the Lower Danube cross-border region.
