Summary/Abstract: . If today the Library of the Banat Orthodox Metropolis (WesternRomania) can be proud of the fact that hosts some musical manuscripts ofinestimable value for the history of the Banat church music, this is due tothe work of a lifetime and the generosity of a single person: ArchpriestIoan Farca. He donated to the Metropolitan Library a significant numberof manuscripts or edited scores, either by church music or by choral musicor even by classical music. Moreover, on many of the donated scores, Farcahas usually left annotations containing information of realhistoriographical value for the history of Romanian music. This presentpaper evokes the personality of Ioan Farca and presents the manuscriptcorpus donated by him to the Banat Orthodox Metropolis Library.
