Summary/Abstract: The study investigates the influence of cooperative financing on theperformance and survival of micro scale businesses, in Ogun State,Nigeria. A survey research design was adopted to generate crosssectionaldata, using a structured questionnaire as the researchinstrument. From a population of 1,165,848 a sample size of 384 wasobtained using the Raosoft sapling size formulae. Regression analysiswas used to analyze the data. The findings revealed that cooperativelysourced finance has a positive and significant effect on operationalperformance of micro scale enterprises but no significant effect onbusiness survival. This implies that survival of micro scale enterprisesis beyond financing. The study recommends that cooperativesocieties, beyond financing should assist members in the area ofgeneral management of activities such as records keeping to improvethe operational performance as well as the survival rate of businessesin Ogun State, Nigeria.
