ON THE VALENCE ON THE COMMUNICATIVE PLANE

Summary/Abstract: In the works on syntax concerning verbal valence the considerations are in general focussed on the valence of the verb as a superior limb of the group of words, or on the pre-communicative plane. One may speak in a considerably smaller degree of the valence in the sentence, therefore on the communicative plane. And yet the predicatively used verb possesses many a time the specific valence features differring from connotative possibilities denoting the same verb within a group of words. To pay attention to this is the aim of the present article. The Rusian verbal imper­ sonal sentences served as the illustrative material.
