Summary/Abstract: The issue of labor migration at the level of the European Union is acomplex one, especially in the context of the Union experiencing a large wave of migrantsfrom the Middle East. Although most of these migrants are refugees from the war, the realityis that they also include people leaving the country of origin in order to gain better access tothe labor market, especially to the labor market at the level of the European Union. Withinthe domain of labor mobility, the focus will be on the actual changes made by EU memberstates in improving the conditions for access to employment in the EU market, both forcitizens of the member states, and especially for those of tertiary member states. Practically, the focus is going to fall on the Union’s migration policy, as well as on the rights andobligations of the European worker.
