Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to analyze D. Zador's contribution to the formation and development of professional music education in Transcarpathia. The methodological basis consists of studies of the life and creative path of D. Zador, monographs, theoretical works, articles, and materials. The methodology of the research is based on an interdisciplinary approach. The research used an analytical, biographical, historical method, which revealed and analyzed the life and creative path of D. Zador and his contribution to the formation of professional music education in Transcarpathia. The scientific novelty of the article lies in the research and in-depth analysis of D.Zador's contribution to the development of professional music education in Transcarpathia during his tenure as director of Uzhgorod State Music College. For the first time, a systematic study of the figure of D. Zador was made from the point of view of his contribution to the development of professional music education in Transcarpathia. Conclusions. D. Zador is not only a prominent Transcarpathian composer but also the founder of professional music education in Transcarpathia. He was the director of the Uzhgorod Children's Music School and also the first director of the Uzhgorod State Music School. The beginning of the degree of music education laid the foundation for the further development of professional music education in Transcarpathia. History knows such single facts, when the figure of a particular disjointed individual becomes meaning of a universal symbol, shapes the world outlook and mentality of the nation. Usually, these are individuals of great spiritual potential and rapid activity. So was D. Zador - a talented Transcarpathian composer, teacher, folklorist who carried out his work inspiringly and with a great love for his people. The principles of professional music education, which are the basis of D. Zador's teaching, have not lost their relevance to this day.
