Summary/Abstract: A large number of manuscript documents in Arabic, Turkish and Persian language are stored in the Kosovo Archive. These 63 codex manuscripts, or 96 manuscripts, constitute a valuable and antique collection because, among others, three of them are unique manuscripts and enrich the world list of oriental manuscripts. Among these oriental manuscripts, in gold color, nine (9) of them are distinguished for their artistic illustrations, for their beautiful calligraphy, the original arabesques with the color of flora weaves, the ornaments with different motifs on the manuscript covers, with " unvânet ”written in different inks. These manuscripts represent excellent examples of calligraphy and Islamic art in particular and world art in general, and for art historians, and especially for experts in calligraphy and applied art, they present first-hand research documentation.Given this fact and given that to date we do not have any study on the enlightened Oriental manuscripts nor on the local artists of these manuscripts in our country, our paper aims to clarify and highlight the high historical-artistic value who have these manuscripts stored in the Kosovo Archive.
