Summary/Abstract: In 1953, the Albanological Institute was established in Kosovo. Efforts to establish this institute began after World War II, which would deal with the past and the material and spiritual culture of Albanians in the former Yugoslavia. However, for various reasons, with the decision of the then institutions, in 1955, this institution was closed. In September 1967, after the mitigating political circumstances created for the Albanians in the former Yugoslavia, the Albanological Institute resumed its work in Pristina. From 1953, when this institution was founded, the first and fewest employees appealed through the daily newspaper "Rilindja" to collect materials of Albanological interest. Thus, with the help and commitment of internal staff and external collaborators, the Institute managed to collect materials of albanological interest, such as: archival documentation collected from various archives of the region and the world, folklore, ethnographic and ethnomusicological materials from all regions Albanians in the former Yugoslavia. Materials were collected written and recorded. These materials and many others of interest for our past, today are preserved in the Scientific Archive of this institution, which is an important and valuable source for Albanian knowledge and knowledge in the territory of Kosovo and Albanian territories abroad. This archive is also an indicator of intense scientific activity in the field of albanology, since the time when this archive was established and the Albanological Institute as an institution. Through this press release we want to publish the archival property stored in our archive.
