Summary/Abstract: Our study follows a line of research uncommon to the Romanian school of history, namely to address the history of modern antisemitism in terms of psychoanalytic theories of the nineteenth century and especially in Lacanian psychoanalysis direction. The paper aims to stake a few landmarks fundamental to the theory of Romanian antisemitic ideology and to try, as much as possible, to identify the internal resorts inherent to subjectivity that caused a feeling of rejection for the Jewish communities in modern Romanian history.
