Summary/Abstract: The global political and security situation has a significant impact on the activities of the intelligence services. The characteristics of the current security environment are real challenges for intelligence services, in the specific actions carried out by them to achieve a clearer picture of the situation for decision makers. Intelligence operations generally considered to be actions specific to the civilian intelligence services, have gone beyond their scope and become common actions for military intelligence services and structures. Thus, in the second world conflagration of the last century and in other major regional conflicts that followed, military intelligence services and structures carried out intelligence operations, which aimed to provide intelligence support to commanders on the battlefield or gaining advantages that influence success in the military actions.
