PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION AS THE SERVICE FOR THE COMMON GOOD

Summary/Abstract: In a modern state, public administration plays a very important role. It is difficult to imagine a state without the existence of its executive apparatus. What is more, the quality of the tasks it carries out, as well as the proper functioning of the state and its organs depend largely on the way public administration is organised. The purpose of the article is to show that public administration in a democratic country based on the rule of law should be equated with a public service aiming to achieve the common good and pursuing the interests of all citizens.
