Summary/Abstract: The article contains a review of scientific sources on the nature of distress tolerance. Stress is a factor that upsets the balance of the body and indirectly affects human health. The distress tolerance of future specialists in the field of special education is analysed as an essential component of their psychological readiness. Its psychological content is empirically determined on the basis of groups of students – future specialists in special education. It is shown that there is a possibility to increase the distress tolerance and resilience of future specialists by developing their personal and social characteristics.
