Summary/Abstract: The village of Belostok is known as one of originally Polish villages in Siberia. As it is today, only one woman in the village (from the oldest generation) still speaks dialectal Polish, and another one remembers Polish prayers. This article attempts to reconstruct the original sociolinguistic situation in the village, including the use of Polish at home, at church and at school. It is based on published documents and interviews with the two villagers recorded in 2016–2017.
