Summary/Abstract: Labor market researches carried out by public statistics, research institutions, scientific centers provide information about the level and structure of remuneration, their spatial distribution and development. Often these studies are aimed towards identifying the factors affecting the amount of wages. One of the most useful tools in the study of this type is an econometric model that identifies significant factors affecting the level of wages and determines the direction of the magnitude of this effect. The paper presents an econometric model of factors affecting the amount of wages. The amount of wages has been presented as a categorical variable. Categories has been determined by the decile groups. The data used to estimation of the model come from surveys on structure of wages and salaries by occupation.
