Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the forms of belief that can be accessed in a scientific form only through their manifestations. According to the results of fieldwork carried out among the members of the Moldavian Catholic community, within popular religion belief is a medium for cognition, but also a tool for interpreting phenomena of everyday life. Within the worldview of the community and their religious practice it is to be noted a historical aspect of religious belief, and also its collective nature. Individual and subjective religious experience becomes with time a collective religious experience that transcends the personal level.
