Summary/Abstract: This research presents „Varlaam’s Homiliary”, an important piece of the Romanian culture and shows how, from a religious, but also cultural and linguistic point of view, it contributed to the development of the Romanian culture. Based on the researches already conducted on this topic, the article brings again into debate the relevant aspects regarding this topic and offers some new contributions.
