Summary/Abstract: This paper provides an example of an innovative science activity applied in a science methods course of 48 future science teachers at a small university in northeastern Turkey. The aim of the activity is to help prospective science teachers understand the phases of the moon in a simple way bay using a role play teaching techniques and see an innovative teaching example implemented by the instructor.
