Summary/Abstract: The protection of personal data is considered a real issue in today’s society, given the multitude of means of communication (especially electronic) that we have at our disposal. We easily offer personal information when buying online, subscribing to a newsletter, creating social accounts or applying to jobs on specialized sites. Nothing protects the privacy of personal data anymore. In order to be able to account on any site, you must have an account. Thus, from the beginning you are asked for data about the name and surname, date of birth, home address, address of the place of delivery (where applicable), email. Some sites go beyond this basic information and come into the personal sphere asking questions about the number of children we have, social status, if the person is a smoker or not. These exceed the legal limits and represent a flagrant violation of the intimations and rights of individuals guaranteed in Article 26 of the Romanian Constitution.
