Summary/Abstract: The aging population poses to labor market policy challenges that, i.a. apply to support active aging people and entering the labour market for young people. According to the statistics in these two age groups is relatively a lot of unemployed people who are economically active but not working. The article presents the logit econometric models describing the likely of qualifying a group of persons classified as employed, according to the methodology of the Labour Force Survey, for the economically active category. Estimated separately for men and women models show the factors which have a significant impact on the classification them for the working group. The analysis identified differences in the direction and strength of the impact of specific factors on the likelihood of a person’s credit to the category of working.
