Summary/Abstract: RESEARCH OBJECTIVE: The scientific objective of this publication is to present the municipality of Karpacz as a worthy example of a high level of entrepreneurship development and to analyze the reasons for this state of affairs, as well as causative factors. THE RESEARCH PROBLEM AND METHODS: The research methods used in the article are: literary criticism, statistical data analysis and telephone interview. The article was created using book materials, magazines, netographic information and personal contacts with representatives of the municipality of Karpacz. THE PROCESS OF ARGUMENTATION: The economic reality of the Lower Silesian Voivodship as the environment of the discussed commune was subject to the process. The historical roots of the development of entrepreneurship in the municipality of Karpacz were also analyzed, which significantly affected the current state. The most attention in the work was devoted to the analysis of the current situation in entrepreneurship in the commune. RESEARCH RESULTS: The results of the scientific analysis indicate that Karpacz positively uses legacy in creating entrepreneurship also in modern times. The main player and driving force in the development of entrepreneurship in the commune is the tourism industry and tourism. CONCLUSIONS, INNOVATIONS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS: The conclusion from the analysis shows that other localities in Poland may follow their entrepreneurial potential as an example of the municipality of Karpacz. The way to do this can be the development of the tourism industry.
