Summary/Abstract: J. Schumpeter the outstanding Austrian economist, living in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, touched on the subject of entrepreneurship in his works. Inone of his most important works from 1934 entitled “The theory of economic development”he described as entrepreneurship carrying out new combinations in the company’s organization (new products, new service, new sources of raw materials, new production methods).Entrepreneurship can be considered in terms of running one’s own business, but also managing a household or agricultural household. Entrepreneurship can also be a group oftraits describing the entrepreneur’s activities. The scientific goal of this publication is to present the Rewal commune as an example of a high level of entrepreneurship development and competitiveness in the local market.The research methods used in the article were literary criticism, statistical data analysis and the telephone interview. The article was created using books and magazines as well as netographic information and personal contacts with representatives of the Rewal commune.The results of the scientific analysis indicate that the commune of Rewal positively uses the rich tradition of entrepreneurship in modern times. The tourism industry and tourism is the main player and driving force in the development of entrepreneurship in the commune.The conclusion from the analysis clearly indicates that the Rewal commune is an important link in the development of domestic entrepreneurship and competitiveness.
