Summary/Abstract: The first part of the article is a short introduction to early support of child development. It explains the terminology connected with early support and describes the aims and the principles of early support of a child with disabilities or at risk of disability. The second part of the article presents the comparison of the data from Educational Information System in Lesser Poland as of 31 March 2014 and 30 September 2017. The data concerns the number of the institutions in Lesser Poland districts which have implemented early support and the number of children and their families aided with early support.
