Ratio analysis of the enterprises duration in Łódzkie voivodship

Summary/Abstract: This article aims to present the results of enterprise duration ratio analysis in Łódzkie voivodship in 2001—2015 conducted on the basis of data from the National Official Business Register REGON. Particularly, it characterizes enterprises in total, active, created and liquidated. It contains the results of average duration time as well as intensity indicators of enterprises — birth and death rate as well as fluctuations and net rate of business population. The obtained results indicated the occurrence of creative destruction of enterprises in 11 powiats of Łódzkie voivodship (excluding Łódź, Piotrków Trybunalski and Skierniewice). In these cities, although not simultaneously, an agglomeration effect of enterprises occurred in the years 2002—2010 and 2012.
