Feederism: Socio-Cultural Contexts of Sexual Preferences and Practises

Summary/Abstract: The article concerns peculiar sexual preferences and practices labeled as feederism. The aim of the article is to present the specifics of this little known phenomenon in contemporary socio-cultural conditions. Feederism is depicted in the context of contemporary meanings and norms related to body, food, attractiveness and identity. The phenomenon is illustrated by a qualitative analysis of the content of the blog plussize24.pl. The conclusions concerning the treatment of feederism as an opposition to the meanings of a dominant culture are accompanied by paying attention to those aspects of feederism that paradoxically support these meanings.
