Summary/Abstract: This article presents selected concepts of religious education for persons with severe mental retardation. In order to present the proposals of Krzysztof and Katarzyna Lausch and Jean Vanier, author briefly discuss the terminological issues, the characteristics of the religiosity of people with mental disabilities and the concern of the Roman Catholic Church in the education of people with disabilities.
