Migration in Late Medieval Polish cities in the source material regarding inheritance

Summary/Abstract: The main goal of this paper is to analyse the relationship between migration to the urban settlements and practical communication skills of town dwellers in late medieval Poland. The forms of maintaining bounds by migrants with their former place of residence are also considered. These problems will be investigated through the intermediary of various types of sources: at first – of last wills and testaments as well as records of donations made for relatives and for ecclesiastical institutions in migrants’ places of origin.
