Summary/Abstract: Recent archaeological investigations on the Getic royal necropolis in Sboryanovo National Archaeological Reserve in northeastern Bulgaria (Sveshtari / Malak Porovets, Razgrad Province) have uncovered a spectacular funerary complex under the same Mound – Tumulus 27.Dated from the late 4th - early 3rd century BC, it is characterized by several structures and especially a La Tène two-wheeled chariot drawn by two horses in upright position3. The specificities of this exceptional discovery are presented throughout the preliminary results of archaeological, archaeozoological and bioanthropological analyses. A particular attention is paid to the features of the Celtic chariot – a western European production of Early LaTène culture – and the horses placed in a position showing the movement, which has no parallel anywhere else.
