Summary/Abstract: The evaluation of textbook quality by teachers is a follow-up to a survey of teachers' satisfaction with textbooks with a certification of the Ministry of Education of the Slovak Republic organized sporadically by the State Pedagogical Institute. Its aim is to find out the level of satisfaction of teachers with current textbooks, to bring feedback to authors and publishers, to draw teachers to reflect on the quality of textbooks and to draw the attention of the Ministry of Education about the quality didactic tools. The survey of the quality of the text books involved 343 schools selected by the currently used text books in the school year 2018/2019, by regions and founders. The survey tool was an electronic evaluation form. It has been shown that teachers are mostly satisfied with all three evaluated textbooks, but with varying degrees of satisfaction. The information gathered can thus open a dialogue between the various actors in the textbook policy.
