Summary/Abstract: In early 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the outbreak of a new corona-virus disease (COVID-19) in Hubei Province, China, as a public health emergency of international concern. On 11 March 2020, the WHO announced that the worldwide spread of COVID-19 had reached the stage where the corona-virus could be declared a pandemic. This situation requires critical preparedness and response by imposing a number of additional safeguards and restrictions on the movement of people in hospital buildings in order to maintain the health of medical and administrative staff in hospitals. The aim of the authors of the present work is to propose good practices in the management of facilities in medical institutions in order to prevent and limit in cases of corona-virus infections. As responsible for the maintenance and proper functioning of buildings and workplaces in hospitals, the managers of these facilities must take concrete action to implement the correct strategy for reorganizing the accompanying facility activities in hospitals in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
