ANALYSIS OF THE FISCAL MEASURES PROPOSED BY THE DRAFT AMENDMENT OF GEO 77/2009 ON THE ORGANIZATION AND OPERATION OF GAMBLING

Summary/Abstract: A good legislative regulationof the field in which the industry of gambling in Romania carries out its activity will allow the state to collect the incomes and the gamblers to be aware of their obligations when they win. Even if the Romanian state has allowed for some time, by legal provisions, the organization of online gambling, at this moment none of the operators has a licence or authorization for functioning because there is a arbitrary barrier regarding the monitoring operator. The National Office for Gambling initiated a change of the legal provisions that will allow organizers to operate in Romania and the state to have an income of approximately 20 millions Euro. This article analizes the projects initiated by the Ministry of Public Finances and the National Office for Gambling which will be implemented in a very shor time and are harmonized with the European norms in the field.
