Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to familiarize the public with the utilization in the investigations of the polygraph or, as it is more commonly referred to, the lie detector. Basically, the polygraph examination uses mechanical and electronic instrumentation to graphically record the physiological changes that take place in persons questioned under controlled conditions.
