Summary/Abstract: The project management in the EPC formula in the construction sector using lean methods in this work has a theoretical and empirical dimension. It refers to innovative solutions that are being used in the construction sector. Their implementation brings many benefits, but also risks. The article comprehensively refers to Polish and foreign sources, which indicate the level of knowledge on this subject, but also on available results. The aim of the work is to analyze the possibilities of using lean in project management in the EPC formula, all the benefits as well as threats, as well as the potential associated with supporting and improving project management. The initial verification of concepts, considerations and research results related to EPC, lean and its implementation in the construction sector leads to the familiarization with the achievements of this field, but also to the indication of its possible use. Further aspects related to this refer to empirical research, indicating impact on efficiency and reduction of waste. The factors that contribute to the success of project management in the EPC formula are equally important. Their improvement and enhancment is associated with lean methods, which still raise many doubts. There is a certain gap in the considerations, which does not allow to unequivocally verify the lean potential in the construction sector. Referring to previous research, as well as supplementing them with own considerations, allows for a better understanding of the problem discussed. The results of the work indicate that lean ismore and more often used in construction, but requires further research. Research goals: This research has the following goals: analysis of the use of lean in project management in the EPC formula; analysis of benefits and threats related to the use of leanin project management in the EPC formula; analysis of lean potential in terms of supporting and improving project management in the EPC formula. Research approach and methods: observation, analysis of source materials. Results: the results confirm the high potential of lean in project management in the EPC formula in the construction sector. Research analysis: observation, analysis of source materials. Practical and scientific implications: the subject of lean and its application in project management in the EPC formula in the construction sector require further research in order toverify the barriers and risks associated with implementation.
