Summary/Abstract: The complementary music education, carried out in private educational institutions is both a new reality of the Romanian cultural landscape and a trend that has undergone an amazing development in recent years. This study aims to answer the question: "music education necessity or entertainment?" starting from a research carried out in such an institution that had as objective the feedback provided by the parents of the students, focused not only on the development of the musical aptitudes of their children but also on the way in which musical education contributes fully to the development of children's personality.
