Summary/Abstract: The establishment of the Czechoslovak state and the first months of its existence have been the subject of research for many historians, political scientists, economists and lawyers, and I dare say that they have not ceased to be an inspiring topic and will continue to be of interest to many researchers. As the following lines will show, a number of partial aspects of the development at that time are not yet clearly illuminated and are sometimes perceived under the influence of inaccurately captured facts. In the following lines I will point out the role of the Slovak National Council in the integration of Slovakia into the Czechoslovak Republic, I will confront archival materials and literature related to this process, I will remind some moments that remain unclear even in such an often trained topic, I will point out a number of factual errors, which we may encounter in the memoir and professional literature, and I will try to put some of these ambiguities and mistakes into perspective.
