Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this study is to investigate the job satisfaction, organizational commitment and stress levels of teachers in the government and private sector. Descriptive model is used in this quantitative study. A total of 91 teacher, majority of them women responded to Job Satisfaction Scale, Teachers’ Organisational Commitment scale, Stress Levels Scale. Arithmetic mean, t-test, Pearson correlation coefficient, regression analysis, Mann – Whitney U and Kruskal – Wallis methods are used for data analyses. The results indicated that there is a significant relation between job satisfaction and organisational commitment and stress levels of teachers. The job satisfaction level is predicted by organisational commitment and stress levels. The results are furter discussed with literature.
